Return Policy

Returns on Original Paintings (Please also see notes Regarding Frames)

*15 Day Money Back Guarantee on original artwork (subject to restocking fee listed below) if you are not totally satisfied with your purchase.  No questions asked. I want you to love your artwork and if you do not, you may send it back.  I am a tiny business, however, so I must keep these specific policies in order to stay viable.  By purchasing, you agree to these terms.  You must contact me within 7 (seven days) of receiving the artwork and notify me that it is being returned.The artwork must be returned in the original packaging,  undamaged and arrive within the 15 day cut off. No exceptions.  Shipping costs are not refundable.  Return shipping costs at customer's expense.  Artwork must be insured during return shipment in order to receive refund.

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY:  Once the item arrives and has been inspected, The price of the art and the tax will be refunded MINUS A 16% RESTOCKING FEE. What is that? This covers non-refundable transaction fees that I incur which are percentage based and also the loss of my product on the shelf for two weeks when it could have been sold to another buyer and the work required to re-list the item. 

Returns on Prints

No returns or exchanges on Prints unless item is damaged. This is because I employ a Professinal Print Shop and they do not accept returns unless the item is damaged.

Returns on Prints are accepted only in the rare case of damage to the shipment.  (The product itself)  Buyers remorse or color variations from the computer monitor and what the print looks like in person are not valid reasons for a return.  In the rare event of a damaged print, buyer must follow the instructions above in "Shipment arrives Damaged" and photograph the damaged packaging before opening and the damaged print, and save the damaged packaging.  This covers us all for insurance purposes.

 

Regarding Frames on Original Artwork

*Please note:I have never had any complaints, however as this is an online store and a buyer cannot see the frame in person,  I want to be specific on this point. I have my most of frames custom made for my artwork in Mexico.(If I choose a frame that is used or reconditioned that will be noted in the listing)  They are expensive.  I buy them in bulk so that I can get a decent price and then pass that savings on to my clients. Occasionally, a frame or two arrives with tiny imperfections. I also carry these paintings with me to my exhibitions and they are subject to  tiny imperfections due to travel.(small dings in the wood or small areas where varnish rubs off due to stacking)  Some of my frames are highly ornate and it is difficult to protect the corners.  I leave the protectors on as long as possible, even at the shows. I inspect each frame before shipping and if needed, do any touch ups. This means that I paint over any places where it has peeled with a color matching as closely as possible to the original frame varnish,  but there still could be an indentation. Normally, these are unnoticeable or negligible. If a frame is beyond repair, I replace it (subject to what frames are on hand) before shipping. The frames are brand new when I get them and minor imperfections are expected.  It is understood that they are AS-IS.  If this is a concern, please contact me prior to purchasing I am happy to text or e-mail pictures of the frame in current condition (up close) so it is known what to expect upon arrival. Although I do have a no questions asked return policy, I would much rather spare us both unneccessary upset or delays when this can be easily solved before hand.

I don't like your frames. Can I  purchase an original painting without a frame?

Yes. Not everyone likes Antique, shabby chic frames! Perhaps my frames do not match your decor or you prefer to have it framed yourself.  Please contact me before purchase and I will post the painting online with the option to purchase without the frame.  Please note that once listed with a frame, the painting may have evidence of it having been framed.  (for instance, a centimeter around the edges with a color variance)  This is accepted by the purchaser and not a reason to return.I am happy to remove the painting from the frame and text or e-mail a picture beforehand.

Matting and Backing

Paintings on Canvas Panel do not have matting or backing. This is because canvas panels are  thick and not easily matted.  The panel and a mat do not fit into most frames, only the panel.  Backing is not added because a panel is stiff and represents little risk of damage. No one looks at the back of a painting once it's on the wall so to add one is an extra unneccearry expense. If backing is important to you, please contact me and I will try to accomodate you.

Paintings on sketchbook paper or Arches Oil Paper are matted.  I use white or creamy pearl matting.  They include backing of either cardboard or white foam.  They are nailed in and there is no tape (as of yet) I may do this in the future. I do my best to keep my prices as low as possible and avoid extra expenses.  Most paintings will have a picture of the back in the listing.  If the one you are interested in does not, please contact me and I am happy to photograph the back and send it to you via e-mail or text.
